Shifting Gears

So I haven't posted in a while. Which is sad, because I'm nearing my *100 post* mark and I really wanted to make it! I've been blah about running so I haven't felt like posting on my "running blog" lately. But then I thought, 'who cares?'

I mean, who am I fooling here? I've never been one to provide insightful and fantastic running advice so I assume those peeking in on this blog weren't doing it for the running info. I have a race listed on my sidebar, but I don't think it's happening. I have been getting out for walks every night, but I'm just not into running right now and I'm not going to feel bad about it. I'll get back into it one of these days, and when I do, I'll be a posting maniac because I really do value the advice I received when I was hitting the pavement more regularly.

For now, we're changing focus a little. I don't know what I'll write about. The weather, maybe? Nah, boring. Maybe I'll tell ya how many trick-or-treaters I get at my door tomorrow night, because I am PUMPED. I grew up in the boonies so this is the first time in 27 years that I will get to be the giver of candy! I will be the coolest lady on the block because, kiddos, I've got some sweet candy. If I didn't run the risk of creeping out moms who suspect knives, razors and drugs hidden in their children's food, I'd go the extra mile and make confections to hand out because I am that into being "the cool house" that every child covets. I haven't been this excited for Halloween since I was about 9 years old and dressed up as Pebbles Flintstone, complete with a chicken bone in my hair.

Stick with me, if you like. Sometimes my life isn't that boring and I'll have good stories to tell. I need a place to spew, and for now, this site seems to be the outlet I need whether I have readers or not.

Oh - and so now that I'm not running, this is what I do:

I dress up my dog. Something I sort of swore I'd never do. This is the only "outfit" she owns and it's only an attempt to add to our chances of being the "cool house" on the block! But now that I have this on her, it sort of looks like the dragon is humping her rather than her being the dragon, doesn't it? Oh well.

ROFLMAO at the dragon humping the dog! That is hilarious! I always swore I would never dress a dog up either, but it really is just too funny not to ;)

Poor baby...she doesn't look too happy!! I had a sweater for one dog I had, only cause he was always cold...he hated it.

And hey, my blog isn't always running related, so don't feel bad not posting about running. I'm still reading.
