I just went to sign up for the two races I intended on running this fall, and one has been removed! It's the Halloween 5K, which was exciting for two reasons: it's in my old, beloved neighborhood, and it celebrates Halloween, one of my very favorite holidays!
It looks like they've rescheduled (and renamed) this for Dec. 1, which I don't know that I'm excited about ... running in December? In Minnesota? Will my lungs freeze?
Ugh. At least I still have my turkey trot to look forward to, celebrating my all-time favorite holiday, Thanksgiving.
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path, and leave a trail.

LOL. Yea, I did the Jingle on the Square 5K and it was 22, then the Frostbite 5K in January was 66 degrees! I felt gyped!
Your lungs won't freeze! If its REALLY cold (i.e. below 20 or so) get a face mask thingy, otherwise, it will feel great. I promise!!
Dress for 20 degrees cooler than it is (so if its 30, dress like its 50) and you'll be great!
Turkey day is so my favorite holiday too. I start the morning by running a satellite race, a 4 mile called I'm Thankful Four, a friend is the race director for it in Indiana and it benefits a scholarship program in memory of his daughter so I run it whereever I am at the time.
Sometimes races in December here can be actually not so bad. I ran one early December once where it was 40 degrees...not warm, but not too cold, and another year I ran it in below 0 temps...that's not so much fun, but oh well. It's only a 5K so you can get done relatively fast!
I did a race last december 31st, the morning after we had gotten 8+ inches of snow in Bismarck. Definitely something to talk about, but it was still fun!
I don't know about running in MN in Dec. I know I would be too cold!
