Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path, and leave a trail.

Thank you!

Thank you for the input! A quick review of your advice on marathon training programs seems to say:

Pfitz = too many miles = not up Krista's alley (and I can't find a link)

Hal = mixed results; he'll work, but maybe there's a better route

FIRST = hmmmm....seems a bit too complicated for me right now

Galloway = he'll help me get the miles in but won't break my body in the process

Runner's World Smart Coach = I have to keep playing with this. It didn't provide me with enough long runs

Right now, I'm leaning toward Galloway. It seems like his overall training philosophy is, 'listen to your body, take it easy and enjoy the ride.' This is my kind of attitude. But, honestly, I haven't had time to delve too deeply into any of these programs due to spending the whole damn weekend at work. Even though most of my waking hours will be spent at work this week, I'll hopefully have some down time at my desk (like now) to do more research. I'll let you all know what I eventually decide.

Based on personal experience, I can vouch for Galloway's plans and the run/walk method. I'm sure you will find something that works for ya.

Run/Walk is a godsend when you're on the course for hours at a time.

I think you'll be quite pleased with Galloway :)

Pfitz would require the book Advanced Marathoning. I'm doing a modified Pfitz plan this time and even with the mileage decrease, it scares the crap out of me. We'll see how long I last with it.
