I am Alive

I am alive, just a little busy.

I seriously can't believe how fast this summer has gone by. This week marks the start of the State Fair - the official end of summer in Minnesota, and the major end-of-summer occasion for every resident of this state and many that surround us. (Laugh away. I still snicker a little when I think about the hokey-pokey fair being the place to be, but whatever. They have corn dogs; that's about all it takes to convince me it's a fun place to be.)

Anyway, I'm working at the fair this year. I figured it's a good way to make some extra cash to pay for the many vacations and home-repair projects we have planned for the fall. That means until Labor Day, I'm going to be insanely busy. Between my two jobs, I'm working from 8 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. every day, and I have a puppy to tend to in between. I don't see how I'm going to get any runs into this schedule :(

My plan? To speed-walk the perimeter of the fairgrounds (which is huge) during my hour-long break every day. That's the only way I can see getting any exercise in the next couple of weeks. I hate to give up so much of my time, but I must think of the money ... mmm, money.

I'll try to post, if I have anything good to say. Happy trails!

The fair is so fun! Eat not just a corn dog on my behalf, but also eat some cheese curds! Yummy!
