Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path, and leave a trail.

I got my two miles in last night - not much to say about two miles. It was quick and it was hot, but I'm feeling good about starting over and building my endurance again.

The run took a very far back seat to the other thing happening in the Twin Cities last night:

If you haven't heard, a major freeway bridge over the Mississippi River entering Minneapolis collapsed during rush hour last night. It just collapsed - no warning, no nothing. Vehicles were bumper-to-bumper on the bridge one minute and in the river the next. It's been a surreal few hours in this city watching all of this unfold. No one's quite sure of the extent of this tragedy yet, but there certainly are victims here and they need lots of thoughts and prayers right now.

Nice job on the two miles. The who bridge calapsing just seems sureal. I saw a video on cnn.com today of the bridge in the process of collapsing. It all went at once it seems. Very erie. My sister lives in the cities and called to inform us. My thoughts and prayers are with all those involved in this.

Ya know Krista, you've got to run for nobody but you. Running is about your life. Feeling good, looking good, being happy with who you are. Find that place. Guard it jealously. Leave the rest of the world behind on the trails. How far or how quick you run just doesn't matter (unless you are racing)!

Lots of luv and prayers for our brothers and sisters in Minnesota today...
