It Could be Worse

When all of you are thinking you have it bad with the heat, I want you to think of this:

Being awakened at 3:20 a.m. by a huge, thunderous, explosion-like sound, and looking out the window to find several massive tree parts down in your backyard.

Getting out of bed to discover not only are trees down, but so are most of the power lines. (i.e. the lines that provide power for AIR CONDITIONIONG.)

Living in 95-degree heat (and at least 147% humidity) with NO AIR CONDITIONING for 48 hours.

My weekend freaking rocked, clearly.

I'm so glad my power didn't go out...and I was amazed that I slept through it, of course the beer I had that night probably helped a lot...:)

Yikes! I made the comment this weekend that days like this make me glad I don't live in a third world country. I can't imagine enduring this heat without the solace of AC.

Oh man, I feel your pain. We had massive thunderstorms here -I was up at 5am with our puppy (first storm for her ever)... and then our AC went out Thursday early morning and we couldn't get it fixed until yesterday (so many other people's went out too). Temps outside reached 105 some days with TONS of humidity, 98 in the house. ICK!
