Yesterday's epiphany-producing blogger is here, and she has another enlightening post today. If anyone is feeling a little blue, I suggest taking a glance.
On a running note, I don't think I have to tell any of you how HOT it is outside, and how that does not make for particularly fun or productive runs. From what I hear, most of the country is underneath this sweltering blanket right now. Regardless, I got out for 3.5 on Wednesday (ran about 2.5 and walked the last mile, although I was pretty excited that I felt like I could have run the whole thing). I've also kept up on my goal to walk on my off-days, and I am doing a 2.5 run tonight and a 3.5 miler on Sunday.
We're having a garage sale tomorrow. Ugh. I like to shop garage sales some Saturday mornings when I'm feeling like a real old lady, or when I'm feeling creative and am looking for a good fixer-upper find. But I generally hate the idea of having a garage sale. I don't think they're very worthwhile, considering the time and energy that goes into getting the junk out of the house, into the garage, and priced appropriately. Anyway, tonight the BF's mom is coming into town to help us set up the garage (she has a boat load of stuff coming from their basement as well). That should be fun - having her over my shoulder as I try to price things that she probably gave me for Christmas at one time or another.
Nothing about the next two days sounds fun to me. I'm just assuming at some point, I'm going to have a raging urge to bolt out of the house in an all-out sprint and run until I can't run anymore. (That is, if the heat doesn't kill me.) So while I have roughly 5 miles planned for the weekend, it may very well end up being more.
To all you others out in the oven this weekend: be careful!
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path, and leave a trail.
