This may be my last post till Monday - we'll see how ambitious I am over the next few days. A bunch of my aunts, uncles, cousins, plus the 'rents are coming into town this weekend for some fun. And when I say 'a bunch,' I mean like 30 people. I have a huge family - that's only half of my extended kin, and just from my dad's side of the family.
It's become an annual tradition for some of us to go to the Gay Pride Parade, which happens to fall on Sunday this year. No one in my family is gay nor do we really have any reason to attend, but a few of us, by chance, ended up downtown a couple of years ago when it was happening and had an absolute blast. Even my Grandma comes along, which I just think is hilarious.
This year, there's the added bonus that the parade falls on my BIRTHDAY! and we just moved into a new house. So, besides Pride festivities, there will be some shopping and carousing, and a good party at our pad Saturday night.
That means I am spending the next two days working my tail off to get everything in order. We finished painting the last room in our house - for now - so that means no more excuses for not unpacking the final, lingering boxes.
Seriously, though, when I return on Monday, I promise I will be able to say I got in at least 6 miles over the weekend as well. No more slacking!
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path, and leave a trail.
