It was fabulous! I'm not going to say it was the best movie of all time, because it was far from it. But in its own Simpsons way, it was perfectly hilarious. They kind of made fun of the fact that they sold out and made a movie, and I appreciate that self-deprecating attitude. I also loved the fact that it was barely 90 minutes long. I can't stand movies that think they have to use up at least 2.5 hours of my time to be considered 'good.' I just don't have that kind of attention span, no matter how much I might love a movie. Bottom line: spend $8 and see it!
The rest of the weekend was wonderful, but tiring. My cousins were in town so we spent the weekend swimming, go-carting, mini-golfing, parade-watching, and bumper-boating, all with kids in tow. Good fun. Good birth control.
The best part of the weekend? (and I'm being sarcastic here...) the main sewer drain in our basement is extremely clogged, and it reached its over-flowing point on Saturday morning after I took a shower. So until the plumber can come tomorrow, we are trolling around town using people's showers, which also means night showers, which I loathe. I need a good morning shower to wake me up. Right now, I just feel filthy sitting here with day-old hair.
The real worst part is that I literally can't run or do anything that will get me sweaty since we're shower-less. I'm hoping there are no deeper issues and we can get this quickly fixed tomorrow. It's always fun being the non-showered girl when it's 92 degrees outside.
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path, and leave a trail.
