We got the house!!!!!!!!! I still feel like I am somehow going to jinx this and this won't become reality. We have to do the inspection tomorrow and all the little details have to fall into place, but barring any big problems, we'll be homeowners by the end of May. I still can't believe it! This is seriously scary, but I'm trying to remind myself that every big decision comes with a lot of responsibility and worry. I can't predict the future, but I can try to enjoy this ride as much as possible and learn from any mistakes we make along the way. (it sounds so good and logical, doesn't it? we'll see how long I can avoid a freak-out.)
I'm buying this house with my boyfriend; we're doing things kind of backwards. We've lived together for 2 years, now we're buying the house, we want to get a dog ... then we'll get hitched. Screw tradition.
The best part is that we learned our offer was accepted yesterday afternoon, so I was able to comfortably fit in a trip to the gym without having to worry about the house. I thought the adrenaline would make my legs move twice as fast, but that was not the case. I got in 3 miles but my legs were in lots of pain. Maybe it was the 12 pounds of food I consumed over Easter weekend weighing down my body. Maybe it was the fact I took 3 days off from the gym. Whatever it was, I'm glad I was at least able to make myself reach 3 miles.
Tonight calls for 45 minutes of cross training, followed by weights. I'm fine being cooped up in the gym because it snowed AGAIN. This is just depressing. If it's still snowing for the 10K in a couple of weeks, I'm going to cry. Half the reason I picked this race is because I loved the thought of me galloping through the budding trees, April sunshine and blooming flowers. I really don't want to have to replace this picture with thoughts of dodging snowbanks and puddles.
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go, instead, where there is no path, and leave a trail.

Hello neighbor! --- neighbor state, that is!
I like your attitude on "screwing" tradition. How awesome...as long as you are happy, that is all that matters!
